Delivery
We deliver across Australia for competitive freight rates. Ask for a freight quote for your desired door - prices vary based on location and door size. All doors, apart from select stock options are made to order and will incur lead times.
Door Inclusions
Unlike most exterior door manufacturers, at Trego our doors come with all framing components and hinges (excluding the sill). This allows for a perfect door fit, superior aesthetics and easy installation. Note doors do not come pre-hung.
Composition and Durability
Our exterior doors consist of a solid timber frame with solid plywood core, which is a superior material due to its inherent strength and resistance to moisture, termites and pests. We primarily use oak as the veneer for our stock doors due to its beautiful grain and ability to stain. For alternative timbers please refer to our timber finish selection page.
Trimming
All exterior doors are supplied with frames to fit exactly, so trimming should not be necessary. Because these doors feature a thin oak veneer, any trimming will expose the inner solid wood frame (made from a different timber species), resulting in visible colour and grain variation. If this must be done, we recommend no more than 5mm off each side.
For non-standard sizes, please request a custom quote and we can manufacture your door to order. Alternatively, any of our doors can be produced in 100% solid oak (or another timber) and then trimmed to size if required.
Installation
Timber, being a natural material, requires some protection from the elements to ensure longevity. We recommend that all timber doors be installed a minimum of 2 metres under cover to ensure protection from rain or heat. If painting the door, avoid darker colours. Non-adherence to these terms will void warranty.
Warranty
We provide a 5-year structural warranty against warping, splitting, or joint failure, and a 2-year warranty on the finish and supplied hardware. To remain valid, doors must be installed with a minimum 2m roof cover, sealed on all edges, and maintained regularly if painted, dark colours must not be used. This warranty excludes normal wear and tear, weather damage from poor sealing, and alterations beyond guidelines.
